King Edward Mine Museum is 1½ miles south Camborne Station, Cornwall, TR14 9HW. From the A30, take the Camborne/Pool exit.  First Kernow bus 47 passes near to the museum.  

We have a large car park and access to the museum entrance from a vehicle is on level ground.

Caravans and motorhomes are advised to approach the museum from the west, the best road being from Camborne station. We do not recommend approaching through Brea.

All exhibitions and the working mill are accessible by wheelchair users. Suitable footwear should be worn due to the uneven floors and some steep stairs.

if you would like to use public transport to visit King Edward Mine, there is very useful information on the services by rail (Camborne station) and bus (Camborne bus station) on www.thetrainline.com 


Discover the Heart of Cornwall

The museum is adjacent to the circular Great Flat Lode cycle/walking trail (7.5 miles) It is mostly off-road, through a mixture of farmland, heathland and industrial areas, and it is possible to deviate up onto Carn Brea to enjoy the panoramic views.  


King Edward Mine is a convenient place to start/end the trail as there is a large car park and a cafe. 

Walk or Cycle the Great Flat Lode Trail

if you would like to take a picnic with you on your walk, there is a local post office and shop in New Rd, Troon, Camborne TR14 9EP, open seven days a week, 0.7 miles from King Edward Mine.
